Varas Chess Academy Children’s Cup and Open Blitz Chess Tournament – 23-24 March 2024

Important Note:

1. For Blitz tournament, minimum of 20 players is needed, if less than 20 players, the tournament will be cancelled.
2. For Age category tournaments, minimum of 6 players is needed, if less than 6 players, the category will be combined to the immediate category. The age category tournaments have 5 rounds, so it will be made sure that there are atleast 6 players after combining any of the categories. Either boys and girls category of the same age group will be combined or two age groups of the same category (boys or girls) will be combined to meet the need for 6 players. However, the prizes will be given as per the enrolled age groups only.
3. If a player is found playing in a wrong age category, he will be expelled from the tournament and will be banned from future tournaments organised by Varas Chess Academy.
4. If there are less than 50 players in the Blitz Category, 75% of the entry fees will be distributed as the prize money. The list of prizes for the top-10 will be declared before the start of the tournament.
